We are committed to ensuring that our customers enjoy their karting experiences and so to ensure there is no misunderstanding with regard to purchase or participation - please read the following information and if you have any issues you would like to discuss please call 01264 882231

Directions to the Kart Centre
We are located within the grounds of Thruxton Racing Circuit just off the A303 and approximately 5 miles west of Andover. Thruxton Circuit is clearly signposted from all major routes. As you leave the A303 look for the sign Thruxton Karting and 4x4 Centre – it is clearly marked (the entrance is adjacent to the industrial estate road)

Bookings
Payment made or invoice raised secures a place or places on a specific date and session time – this is non-refundable Payment must be received prior to event date Please Note: Non-payment may result in cancellation of your event

If you have confirmed with payment for an agreed number of places the balance payable on the day stands. It is your responsibility to fill those places should your numbers drop. We will not refund you for no shows on the day. We have staffed/prepared the event to your requirements

Arrival
On arrival please go to the desk and sign on. There may be other events in progress and we need to be aware of your presence. You are most welcome to spectate from the designated areas until your briefing is announced

Briefing
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND. We recommend you allow 30 minutes prior to the briefing to allow for sign on and issue of safety clothing etc.
Please note that we will start the briefing promptly in order for the event to run to schedule. LATE ARRIVALS will only be allowed to join the event at the discretion of the Race Director. If you/members of your group arrive late for your event it may result in a reduction in time on the track for your session. Whilst we strive to accommodate – we may have an event following yours and therefore need to consider those bookings

Clothing
Helmets, overalls (including wet weather) and gloves etc are provided. Sensible footwear such as trainers should be worn but please bear in mind weather conditions and dress accordingly as you will be spending a large proportion of your event outside. A change of clothing is strongly recommended

Cancellations
Up to 4 weeks prior to the event – Either a new date can be arranged at no charge or a refund given less a 20% handling charge Within 4 weeks and more than 2 weeks - A new booking can be made and 20% handling charge will be added or a refund can be made less a 50% handling charge Within 2 weeks of the event date will result in the loss of the deposit unless you re-book another date subject to a handling charge of 50%

Insurance
Third party public liability insurance is included in the cost of your event

Junior Karting
8 years and upward - CADET KARTS – minimum height 4’3” or 1.30m We may be able to accommodate a shorter driver provided they meet the required safety measures comfortably before any karting commences 12 years and upward - STRATOS KARTS - minimum height 5’0” 1.52m - Stratos Karts These are adult karts but have variable electronic rev limiters fitted for the safety of junior drivers Adults - THUNDERKARTS - minimum height 5ft (1.52m) - Essentially an adult kart but provided that proof of suitable experience can be produced - we may be able to accommodate 15 year olds (subject to Race Director’s discretion)

General Information

  • All participants must sign an Acknowledgement of Risk Form prior to taking part in any karting event
  • Juniors and under 18 year olds must be signed on by a parent or guardian before any karting commences
  • Light refreshments are available at the Kart Centre. There is a restaurant open on the main circuit most days including weekends
  • Catering for group bookings can be arranged – please ask for options
  • Children are welcome to attend but must be supervised at all times. The pit lane is immediately outside the front of the building – is busy and in constant use
  • Toilets and changing (including baby) facilities are available in the hospitality building
  • Karting can be affected by adverse weather conditions such as ice, snow or fog. If it is felt that it would be dangerous to use the circuit – your event may be postponed. In such an instance we would do our best to inform you and will re- book you on another day. No refunds will be given and no claims will be accepted relating to costs incurred due to the postponement
  • Thruxton Karting Centre reserves the right to exclude any driver from participation should his/her behaviour be deemed to be a danger to themselves or other drivers
  • We also reserve the right to refuse any driver from participation if he/she is deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In this instance NO refund will be given
  • Abusive behaviour toward staff/other participants is not acceptable – your karting experience will be terminated and no refund will be given

The Race Director’s decision is final in all instances
